Datchet Football Club was established in 1986 by current President and multi Emmy award-winning Documentary Producer Jamie Doran and current Club Chairman Paul Skelly as a Sunday League side. Other notable members of the club are Andrew Clemens, Club Secretary for over 20 years and Steve Turner, Assistant Club Secretary and club member for over 10 years.
Since the club formed, they have gone from having one team to now playing with three teams.
They started with the first team playing in the Thames Valley Sunday League and then in 2018 a Saturday team was formed which plays in The Thames Valley Premier League.
Most recently an under 13's team has started up this season.
The current playing numbers are over 100 and there are a good number of people who are involved with the day-to-day running and managing of these sides.
Going forward the club is looking to expand further by introducing more youth football age groups, ladies football and vets football at its home ground, Datchet Recreation Ground.
